Add beautiful nature textures to your oven-bake clay creations with ease with these Sculpey Texture Sheets. These reusable Sculpey Texture Sheets are made from flexible EVA material and will help you print a range of textures inspired by nature on to soft clay in no time. A large pattern covers one sheet, while the second sheet contains six smaller patterns.

Designed to be repeated, the transparent sheets make it possible to line up patterns to easily reprint and create larger textured sheets of clay. Cut up the sheet of six along the lines to make them easier to use when reprinting textures. Uncut, they are perfectly sized to fit through a pasta/clay conditioner machine making pressing textures into conditioned slabs of clay a breeze. Great for texturing, stamping and using for advanced clay techniques on flat and sculpted surfaces. Explore how adding mica powder before baking the clay can add highlights to the texture.

Additional Information

To Use: Prepare a sheet of Sculpey, with a rolling pin or pasta/clay conditioner machine. Lightly spritz the clay with water from a spray bottle. The water acts as a barrier between the clay and the texture sheet which will help it release more easily. Use finger pressure to push the sheet into the clay so you feel it gripping the clay. This can require a bit of pressure to secure it in place. Then use a rolling pin or burnish the back of the sheet to more firmly push the texture into the clay. As the sheet is clear you can check to see if you have successfully imprinted the clay. Grab a corner of the sheet to peel it off the clay. Make sure to dry the clay lightly with paper towel to remove the water as this can resist other materials, like mica powder, if you choose to embellish the textures. Clean the sheets with soap and water and allow to dry in-between use.

These plates can also be used to add textures to a range of traditional ceramic and other air-dry clay materials to make a range of home decor, jewellery, sculpture or mixed media projects at home and in the artroom.
