Pastels and Charcoal Starter Set

Basics Chalk Pastels Pack of 12: These Basics Chalk Pastels are economical and great for layering, smudging and mark making. Best used on paper with a slight tooth. Set finished work with spray fixative.

Willow Charcoal Natural 5-7mm Pack of 25: These thick charcoal sticks provide smooth coverage in a soft-medium grade. Obtain easy shading from black to pale velvety greys. Great for laying ground and blocking in large shaded areas. Approx. 5-7mm thickness x 135mm length. NB: As this is a natural product, thickness may vary.

Cartridge Paper A3: Cartridge paper is a lightweight drawing paper, ideal for beginners or preliminary works. Suitable for drawing, mixed media and printmaking. As this is a lightweight paper, it may buckle when it gets too wet. 110gsm A3 297 x 420mm. Ream of 500 sheets.

Pastel Paper Stumps: Pastel stumps are designed for blending dry pastels. Each pack included two each of four sizes: 4, 6, 8 and 10.

Kneadable Art Eraser: These quality, reliable and cost effective Kneadable Art Erasers are soft, pliable and designed to absorb (pick-up) drawing pigments and leave no residue ‘crumbs or dust’. Kneadable erasers remove pigments on top of the paper so that the surface underneath is not damaged. Use this soft eraser to correct and erase, to create highlights or for a reductive drawing. Suitable for charcoal, pencil and graphite media. To use, begin by ‘kneading’ and warming up the eraser with fingers – this will make it pliable. Shape eraser as desired. This kneadable eraser will hold its shape during use, which makes it great for erasing fine details, lines and strong edges.
