Northcote Pottery Underglazes can be used on bisque or raw clay surfaces. Stir well before use and stir regularly during painting to avoid settling. For best results make sure the clay surface is free from dust and grease. Apply two thin and even coats with a soft brush. Over application will cause peeling. Cover with a brush on clear glaze suitable for the clay e.g. Earthenware, Stoneware or Midfire clear glaze.
