In this video we explore the meaning of ANZAC day. We use watercolour paints, markers and colour slicks to create a reverse painting ANZAC day message.
Reverse Painting ANZAC Day Message
Step 1
Paint circles on cartridge paper in varying sizes using watercolour paints. Paint dots in the centre of each circle and leave to dry.
Step 2
Use markers to add detail into each of the circles so that they resemble flowers.
Step 3
Write a message in pencil over the top of the painted flowers in large bubble or block letters to cover the page.
Step 4
Trace over the outline of the pencil using a black marker and erase any pencil lines.
Step 5
Use a black colour slick to fill in the area outside of the words and black out the page except for the letters.
