Neurographic Art Drawing

In this lesson students explore line, shape and colour to create a neurographic art drawing. Students begin by creating a variety of intersecting scribbles on a piece of paper. They will extend on these lines by working over the corners and adding more patterns. Students will add colour to their work using their choice of materials.

Lesson 1

Students choose a piece of cartridge paper to work on. They begin by using a thin black marker to drawing some loopy lines across their page. Students can time these scribbles with their breath.

Lesson 2

Students finish drawing a variety of lines across their page. They will then connect the edges of their scribbles and make them thicker.

Students add in a variety of different lines and shapes within their work. They can work with thicker or thinner markers.

Lesson 4

Students add colour to their work using whatever materials they choose. Students can add colour to their whole page or colour in sections.

Extension:

Students can create multiple drawings exploring different sizes and shapes of paper. Students can add pattern into their work or create their drawings with only scribbled lines.
Students can add colour to their work and add more layers to their drawing using paint markers
